Magical bugs, a nightmare for some but a common sight for witches and wizards in Australia. Billywigs are fast little insects rarely noticed by Muggles whose stings induce giddiness and in some cases brief bouts of levitation. They are often captured and used as components in potions, and a few candies, enjoyed by the magical community. I had to create a new condition to really sell the billywig which is detailed below.

Tiny beast, neutral

Armor Class 14 (natural armor)

Hit Points 6

Speed 10 ft., flying 60 ft.

Str 6 Dex 18 Con 6 Int 4 Wis 6 Cha 6

Saving Throws

Skills Acrobatics +6

Senses low-light vision, passive Perception 8

Challenge 1/4 (50 XP)

Faster than the Muggle Eye. Creatures who are not trained in Intelligence (Arcana) have disadvantage to Wisdom (Perception) checks made to look for the billywig.

Sting. Melee Weapon Attack. +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit target takes 3 (1d4+1) piercing damage. Target must also make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save the target is giddy, the condition remains in effect for 1 hour. If the target fails their saving throw by 5 or more they are levitated as though the billywig had cast Levitate on them without any spell components and without concentration required. The levitation remains in effect for 10 minutes.

Giddy: A giddy creature has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks. Their Intelligent and Wisdom scores are also reduced by 2 until the condition is removed.
