Few magical abilities appear as often in fiction as the ability to become invisible. The invisibility cloak Harry Potter inherited from his father allowed him to pass unseen through many of his adventures. In the wizarding world invisibility cloaks much like Harry’s are extremely rare and expensive, they’re also known to lose their magic over time eventually rendering them useless. Part of the reason their so expensive is because the pelt of a demiguise is used to create them, and as they can see into the future and turn invisible at will capturing the creatures is extremely difficult.
This was one of my favorite creatures from Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them. We never got to see them in any of the Harry Potter books or films so it was new territory tied to the world we already knew. I made the demiguise to be extremely difficult to hit given all their abilities, but like many other creatures I’ve been making lately this one isn’t a monster in the traditional Dungeons & Dragons sense. Demiguise are peaceful vegetarians with little interest in fighting. They’re far more likely to use their invisibility and precognitive vision to flee from pursuers.
Still it is sad to imagine someone using belts from these amazing creatures to make invisibility cloaks, I’m glad Newt saved at least one of the little creatures.

Invisibility. The demiguise can cast Invisibility on itself without using any components any number of times per day.
Precognitive Senses. The demiguise’s senses work with a supernatural awareness allowing it to predict the most likely outcome of events happening around it. All attack rolls made against the demiguise have disadvantage, and it has advantage on all saving throws. It also has advantage on Initiative checks.
Multiattack. The demiguise makes 2 claw attacks and one bite attack against a single target.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack. +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: Target takes 5 (1d6+2) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack. +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: Target takes 3 (1d4+2) piercing damage.
